From Kolkata, Gangasagar is about 120–140 km and takes 4–5 hours. Travel via Diamond Harbour Road to Harwood Point (Lot No. 8, Kakdwip), then take a ferry to Kachuberia and continue by road to Gangasagar. A bypass via Usthi–Hotuganj can save time.

By Rail 🚆
Take a local train from Sealdah to Kakdwip/Namkhana (≈2.5 hours). From there, go to Harwood Point, take a ferry to Kachuberia, then a vehicle to Gangasagar.

By Air ✈️
The nearest airport is Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport. From there, hire a taxi to Harwood Point, followed by ferry + road transfer to Gangasagar.
